The Aldente Brothers - music prepared just right!

lyrics

Reading of the Names

she looked up from her desk that Tuesday morning,
and saw the jet plane fast approaching
no one can know upon her last breath
what was racing through her brain
and now all that is left is
the reading of her name.

they charged up the stairs a brave band of brothers
with each counting floor only finds another
they heard the fast approaching thunder
and the cries out in vain
and now all that is left is
the reading of their names.

the cloud of dust just hung like a halo
below, September streets laid covered with snow
the city canyons all but echoed
with the sounds of busting glass and twisted steel
is it all for real?

we looked in silence, with our eyes towards the heavens
at the wounded glass and steel eleven
and watched it wince and double over
till nothing did remain
and now all that is left is
the reading of the names,
the reading of the names,
the reading of the names.

and now all that we're left with
is the reading of the...

Tony Leventhal - the younger of the two Aldente Brothers loves music, food and Spain almost equally. Music is Tony’s first love and since he’s a loyal soul, The Aldente Brothers is only the third band he’s ever played in and written for in his 30 years of making music. Tony spent his college years in Paris playing in the legendary surf-pop band The Surf Pirhanas before returning to the U.S. His longest engagement to date is with the The Mockers, where Tony Leventhal and Seth Gordon, his former boarding school classmate, continue to play melodic Beatles-influenced power pop for adoring fans in the U.S. and a loyal and numerous following in Spain. www.themockers.net www.myspace.com/surfpiranhas

Jon Morrell - the older Aldente Brother carries the lead vocals with all the gravitas of the family elder, and still never lets an opportunity for putting on a show pass him by. Being a classically trained Heldentenor runs deep in is blood, but he’s always had a little fling with Broadway and show-tunes on the side. With The Aldente Brothers, Jon’s finally able to combine his favorite things: singing great material, putting on a show and working with his brother. Jon earned his opera chops performing the role of Siegmund in Die Walkure, Samson in Saint-Saëns' Samson et Dalila, and as Peter Grimes. He’s recently been seen in the UK, as Tristan in Act II Tristan und Isolde in Leeds. www.jonmorrell.com
